SPRAWL 4 - CREWDSON, KNOWN OCEAN, DEAR EARTH

SPRAWL 4 - Crewdson, Known Ocean, Dear Earth Sprawl returns for it's first event of 2013 with an outstanding line up of live electronic music for your listening pleasure. On the last Thursday of the month we open up Bussey Building's warehouse and fill it with a mix of London's best live sounds and a catered visual experience. Opposite Peckham Rye Station, on the overground, like twenty minutes from east. This month we've gone electronic featuring the amazingly talented CREWDSON (fresh from his tour with Matthew Herbert's One Pig), local boys KNOWN OCEAN (last spotted at the incredible 'Neutral Paradise Sound Salon' at Hannah Barry gallery back in November) and DEAR EARTH, topped off by a DJ set from Far From Cyan and Clara Pacifico. Video artist Daniel Haddock will provide visuals for the whole night.

To coincide with the release of publications Topophilia and Topophobia, Viktor Timofeev will turn Hannah Barry Gallery Peckham into a cavernous venue for an evening of sound and performance with Walkman, bass guitar and effects, joined by frequent collaborator Bryce Hackford's poly-fi dance music with video projections by Ivy Meadows, and London-based Known Ocean of Valley Sound Records. The current catalogue of WHIP Records, a project by New York-based artist Ian Campbell which includes new cassette releases from Timofeev and Hackford, will be in the viewing room alongside some of Campbell and Timofeev's recent collages.

HI, I'm a little bit behind with the tape at the moment, make a dead line and stick to i thought, well so much for that. I've had an up hill struggle with one thing and the other. Firstly the C15 tapes i bought are not actually C15 (7.5 mins each side) they are 10.5 each side. I was going to release a double tape 30 mins of music, but as the tapes are 20 mins long, i'd be 10 mins short, so i'm going to cut 10 mins although i will upload them so you will not miss out. I've also changed the artwork; here's the image i may use now - what do you think ? Finally the VSR logo hasn't got back to me yet, I can't wait though so watch this space. Currently in talks with some other artists who are interested in joining forces.
